The Tudor family was a very influential and controversial family throughout their 118-year reign and even after. The Tudors changed England entirely throughout their reign in both positive and negative ways by naval exploration and the end of the Catholic Church in England, which was the biggest scandal at the time. Many of the changes in England were made under Henry VIII in his 58-year reign, including the separation from the Catholic Church in Rome and creating the Church of England. King Henry’s need to have a male heir shaped the way he ruled and was a major influence for his break from Rome as well his future alliances and decisions throughout the rest of his reign. His marriages and children are what made him so infamous, even till today.
