Born: 16 December 1485
Married to Prince Arthur: 14 November 1501
Married to King Henry VIII: 11 June 1509
Marriage to Henry VIII dissolved: 1533
Died: 7 January 1536
Catherine of Aragon was the daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, joint rulers of Spain. When she was three, she was betrothed to Prince Arthur of England. When she was almost 16, she traveled to England to marry Arthur. Less than six months after they were married, Arthur died and she was now a widow. Henry VII wanted to keep the dowry so Catherine was then betrothed to Arthur's brother, Henry. She was made Queen of England on June 24, 1509, along with her husband, King Henry VIII. Shortly after the marriage, Catherine became pregnant one after another but were all miscarriages or short-lived births. On February 1516, her daughter Mary was born. By this time, her husband had been having many affairs, due to the fact that he was frustrated by not having a male heir. By 1526, he began having an affair with Anne Boleyn, who would be the reason their marriage would be dissolved. Henry felt he had no other choice but to divorce because Catherine had not produced a male heir and by this time she was too old to conceive as well as Leviticus states that a man may not marry his brothers wife or they will be childless, which to him they were. Henry used this as a main premise when trying to get his marriage to Catherine annulled. The pope denies his request, therefore him making the decision to break away from the Catholic Church and convert to Protestantism which does allow divorces. Immediately after the divorce, Henry marries Anne Boleyn and he sends Catherine away to live in a convent.

Born: Between 1500 and 1509
Married to Henry VIII: 25 January 1533
Executed: 19 May 1536
Anne first appeared as a Lady in-waiting to Queen Catherine in 1522. It is suggested that King Henry didn't notice Anne until 1526 but is not completely certain when he first noticed her. it is true thought that Henry had made Anne's sister, Mary his mistress and possible that they had a child together, but he never acknowledged her because she was considered a bastard. Anne of course did not want this to happen to her so she refused to be with him until he divorced Catherine and she could become Queen. Due to this, Anne was not well liked by the people of England. On September 1, 1532 she was made Marquess of Pembroke while waiting for her title of Queen. By the end of 1532 Anne was pregnant and Henry didn't want people to question the legitimacy of the child so he and Anne secretly married even though his marriage to Catherine was not officially dissolved yet. On May 23, 1533 the Archbishop officially proclaimed that the marriage of Catherine and Henry was invalid. Immediately plans for Anne's coronation began and on June 1, Anne was crowned Queen. Anne gave birth on September 7 and everyone was sure it was going to be a boy but Princess Elizabeth was born around three pm. She knew she needed to produce a male heir but her next two pregnancies were miscarriages. She also knew that her life was in danger from not producing a male heir because Henry was starting to become interested in one of her ladies-in-waiting, Jane Seymour. By 1536, an investigation on Anne begun due to accusations that she was having affairs with several guys including a musician named Mark Smeaton. Him and several other men including her brother were arrested and possibly tortured into making "revelations" about the Queen. Of course no one knows how much is actually true but both her and all the other men arrested were charged with treason. The men, no including her brother, were hanged
